Brides of Ollichon - Gill and Janet

Posted by Abby Summerville on

Gill and Janet | Mrs and Mrs after 18 years!

How long have you been together?

We’ve been together for 18 years; it’s never too late to tie the knot!

Who proposed to who?

Gill proposed to me when we were on holiday in St Lucia, it was a very romantic night around a fire pit by the sea.

Where did you get married?

We got married on the 1st of June 2019 at Angel House, Hove. This is a beautiful Grade 1 listed Regency house on the Brighton seafront.

What was your inspiration to go dress-less?

Gill is not a dress person at all and so we were looking for a jumpsuit that was special enough to get married in. Having tried on other jumpsuits, Gill felt disheartened, as the designs were poor. We were therefore so happy to find our perfect outfits in House of Ollichon, not only for Gill (Who wore the Linford) but for me too. I loved the design of my bespoke top and Le Fay skirt.

How did you feel in your outfit?

On the wedding day we both felt fantastic and so excited to wear the outfits!

Best buy?

By far the best buy were the outfits that complimented each other so well and yet they were both unique. The lace design on the back of the jumpsuit was so beautiful! and the shape of the skirt was so pretty.

Biggest surprise?

The biggest surprise was getting all the guests to the beach for photographs and throwing the bouquet! It was unplanned and such brilliant fun!

Did anything not go to plan?!

Only the confetti poppers that didn’t pop so well, unfortunately the description wasn’t clear, so keep an eye on that.

Best moment?

The best moment has to be our ceremony, after 18 years of being together we both felt so lovely saying our vows with all our family and friends there and knowing we were finally going to be Mrs and Mrs !

What did your family and friends and other half think about your outfit?

We had so many lovely comments, ‘stunning’ being the main word!  Everyone thought Gill would wear a two-piece suit so they were surprised and so complimentary about how lovely the jumpsuit looked and they loved the top and skirt I wore too.

Will you wear it again?

For the moment the outfits are wrapped up as a beautiful momentum of the day. We’re quite traditional but it would be special to wear them again if we renewed our vows in the future!

From the moment we walked into the House of Ollichon studio, Hannah was wonderful.  She made us feel at ease with her personable, friendly and professional manner and the welcome glass of prosecco was great. It wasn’t long before we knew we had found the right place for our wedding outfits and we came out after the first visit so happy and confident that we would look and feel amazing on the day. The designs were beautiful and we had a lot of choice, but Hannah helped us to pin down the right one that we looked and felt the best in !

A huge thank you to Hannah and Sofia for making our wedding outfits everything we wanted and more for our special day! We highly recommend House of Ollichon without hesitation.
