Bride of Ollichon - Sinead
Sinead | Unique
How long have you been together?
We've been together for 5 and a half years now.
Who proposed to who?
Tom proposed to me the night we moved into our house. I say 'night' because we moved in at midnight due to work commitments at the time!
Where was the wedding?
What was your inspiration to go dress-less?
I've always been a two-piece kinda gal and I love being creative with my outfits. I kept going to bridal shops and finding that everything was beautiful but nothing felt like 'me'. I like to wear things that are slightly unusual. In fact, one of the games at my hen do was a competition to see who could 'Guess The Dress' (my best friend came closest!).
How did you feel in your outfit?
I felt AWESOME in my outfit!!! Probably my favourite thing I have ever worn.
Best buy was obviously my outfit! I'm going to include my shoes from Kat Maconie in this as well.
The biggest surprise was when 3 of the groomsmen and another of Tom's close friends stood up and performed a barbershop quartet of 'Sincere' from The Music Man. Neither of us had any clue!
Did anything not go to plan?
I actually feel as though the day went pretty smoothly. There's a great photo of one of the best men taking orders from me! There was just such a relaxed fun atmosphere, which is exactly what we wanted.
So many moments to choose from! I loved my brother singing as I walked down the aisle, that felt like a pretty special moment. I loved seeing Tom for the first time. The big red bus we hired to take us to the pub was so great. All the speeches were ace (we had the maids of honour doing speeches too, not just the men!). Just having everyone we loved in one room, having a great time and being so happy for us.
What did everybody thing of your outfit?
Tom, my family and friends LOVED my outfit. They just kept saying it was so 'me'.
Will you wear it again?
I'm not sure if I'll wear it again. I definitely think I could if the right event came up but it's such a special outfit I couldn't bear if anything happened to it.
I absolutely made the right decision going with House of Ollichon. Hannah and Sofia were so wonderful. After visiting so many bridal shops and coming out feeling deflated, it was so refreshing to find someone who actually listened to my ideas and I felt like Hannah 'got me'. As soon as I tried on the skirt I knew it was what I wanted wear and then we worked together to create the top. Hannah was so great when I said I wanted my mom to do all the intricate beading work to the back panel of the top and was more than happy to have her input. It was such a lovely process between myself, my mom, Hannah and Sofia. I can't recommend House of Ollichon enough, I'm just so sad that the process is over!
