Bride of Ollichon - Michelle

Posted by Abby Summerville on

For Michelle it was about comfort, feeling herself and the ability to dance in her wedding outfit...The Le Fay top and skirt ticked all the boxes!

How long have you been together?

Myself & Paul have been together for 6 years

Who proposed to who?

Paul proposed to me on Christmas Day last year

Where did you get married?

We got married at The Cowshed at Woodhall Farm (it is amazing!)

What was your inspiration to go dress-less?

I wanted to feel myself & know that I would be comfortable all day. I knew I didn’t want to be dragging a dress round all day & wanted to be able to dance, which as the photos show I did a lot!

How did you hear about House of Ollichon?

I kept searching for bridal jumpsuits on Pinterest & House of Ollichon just kept coming up so I knew it was the place for me!

How did you feel in your outfit?

I felt amazing. I knew my friends would know I wouldn’t go for the norm & they weren’t disappointed. I felt so comfortable all day but still elegant & feminine. It fitted me perfectly.

Best buy?

My custom made Converse.

Biggest surprise?

The best man speech or rather song. It was the best one I have ever heard! I keep watching the video back & still laugh as much.

Did anything not go to plan?!

The only thing that didn’t happen is that the cake I made did not get cut up so no-one had any!

Best moment?

The first dance played by the band The Royale, who were amazing. We weren’t sure whether to have them play it but didn’t regret it. It was awesome.

What did your husband, family and friends think about your outfit?

My husband thought it was so me & I looked stunning. He said it was practical, elegant & sexy if they can all be in the same sentence! My mum was with me when I bought it & knew straightaway it was the one for me. My in laws also loved it. In fact everyone did.

Will you wear it again?

Without a doubt I will wear it again & that is one of the reasons why I bought it. The pieces are so versatile & can be worn with lots of other things in both casual & formal situations.

I knew before I even landed at the studio that I would walk away with my bridal outfit. Hannah’s mum was so helpful on the day & there were so many options. Every piece I tried was amazing & so well made.

The follow up from Hannah was also great as I had a bit of an issue with sizing. She was so helpful & sent me other sizes to try with no questions asked.

I felt amazing on the day & never once felt restricted, which I believe if I had gone down the traditional route I would have.

There is an outfit to suit every kind of personality & I can’t recommend House of Ollichon highly enough!
