Bride of Ollichon - Hannah

How long have you been together?

We were together for about 3 years before we got married.

Who proposed to who?

Adam proposed to me (how traditional, I know) on the top of Stanage Edge in the Peak District during a walk.

Where did you get married?

We got married at Manor Farm, which is a functioning farm and awesome glamping location in West Worldham near Alton (Hampshire).

What was your inspiration to go dress-less?

I didn't want to be a very traditional bride, and I'm also very much the practical type. I wanted to be comfortable, be able to wear a normal bra and to be able to go to the toilet on my own.

How did you feel in your outfit?

Absolutely fabulous! I had a great time twirling around in my skirt. I had never worn a crop top in my life, but I felt great and not at all self-conscious.

Best buy?

I don't think I've got one specific 'best buy', but I just loved how everything looked together. If I have to pick something, probably my fascinator made of dried flowers from The Artisan Dried Flower Co.

Biggest surprise?

Seeing the whole venue all dressed up. We had bought the flowers wholesale, and all of our family and friends who were staying with us at the weekend helped prepare the flowers and decorate the whole place. I was so impressed when I walked down the aisle!

Did anything not go to plan?!

Not that I was aware of, so that's always good. We were fairly relaxed about everything, that probably helped (as did the sunshine).

Best moment?

Seeing my husband standing at the 'altar' waiting for me - he looked so handsome!

What did your family and friends and other half think about your outfit?

Some lighthearted spite about how fab I looked in a crop top (thanks, girls) but in general I just got a lot of compliments about how well it suited me.

Will you wear it again?

I very much hope to! I have not yet identified a concrete occasion, but have every intention of re-wearing it.

What's not to love? My first fitting with the amazing Sofia was great - I got to try on all the styles I liked (which was basically the whole shop, sorry Sofia) and we slowly whittled it down to my eventual outfit. I then got to customise my outfit exactly to the way I liked it, and then some more after a first fitting. The outfit ended up being exactly what I had hoped for, and definitely made me feel like a million dollars on my wedding day!
