Bride of Ollichon - Katie
Katie and Richard were married on 04/08/16 (a geometric sequence as she is a maths teacher!) at the Netherwood Hotel in the Lake District.
HoO: How did Richard propose?
Katie: As we already have 2 children, getting married was something we had always planned to do. We chose the ring together and I was due to collect on the Wednesday. He collected it early and gave to our 4 year old, who asked if I would marry Daddy and gave me the ring whilst I was washing up!
HoO: What made you opt for a two piece?
Katie: I am a dress size bigger on top so the Le Fay style really worked for me. The fabric was still very traditional but this style gave it a very modern and fashionable feel.
HoO: What did your husband think of you not wearing a traditional dress?
Katie: He loved it and understood my obsession with my midriff after every kettle-bell class!
HoO:What did your bridesmaid wear?
Katie: My 2 year old was my flower girl and wore a lovely dress from M&S.
HoO: Best buy?
Obviously the Le Fay two piece, but also loved my Charlotte Tilbury make over.
HoO: First dance song?
Katie: We’re having an evening do in October so I’ve not danced yet!
Will you wear your two piece again?
Katie: Yes snd I cant wait!
I knew I didn’t want a traditional dress. I tried some of the high street collections and although they were nice they didn’t feel special enough for the occasion. On meeting Hannah it was clear that she was very proud of her collection and rightly so. The finished product was beautifully made with high quality fabrics and so different to anything else I had seen. Hannah was a delight to deal with from start to finish and made the whole experience, one that I had dreaded, very easy and enjoyable.
