Bride of Ollichon - Jen
The gorgeous Jen came to House of Ollichon just six weeks before her wedding day, super chilled, knowing exactly what she wanted. I loved her attitude, 'I know what I'm like, I didn't want to spend a year looking at dresses'. After a fab hour or so of basically looking stunning in everything, debating quirky accessories and an 80's twist, she went for the Stevenson skirt and Drakeford top. The last pic also shows how perfect our pieces are for dancing (or being spun around by your new husband!)
How long have you guys been together?
Where did you meet?
We met in a newsroom in Bristol where we were both training to be journalists
Where did you get married?
What was your inspiration to go dress-less?
I didn't want to feel stuffed into something that I wouldn't ordinarily pick up. I wanted to feel playful and for my outfit to be youthful and comfortable and all of House of Ollichon's collection hits that spot.
How did you feel in your outfit?
Like the best version of myself.
The confetti canons that were fired off during our (very energetic) first dance. It was like a glittery snowstorm - magical.
That I didn't cry.
Arriving at the chapel in the sunshine, hearing the Stone Roses playing loudly and seeing all our friends and their children making an arch for our entry as we walked down the aisle together.
What did you family and friends think about your outfit?
They all said 'that is so you' - which was the perfect compliment.
Will you wear your pieces again?
I don't think so - it's a memory of that day.
Hannah is the magic fairy dust of the wedding industry. From the moment I met her I felt like she was a great friend who knew me and wanted the best for me...and, she didn't flinch when I said I'd dreamed of shoulder pads and an oversized denim jacket!
With my wedding just around the corner, Hannah whizzed my order through and it arrived beautifully packaged and with handwritten note - a personal touch that is so hard to find these days. Thank you Hannah for making my 'non-dress' buying experience so special. x
