Bride of Ollichon - Emelie

Posted by Abby Summerville on

Emelie and Zoe have been together for 10 years, and got married on the beautiful island of Mykonos on their tenth anniversary...Emelie wanted her Kay jumpsuit to have a bit of sparkle, so it became a bespoke Kay!

How long have you been together?

10 years, we actually got married on our 10 year anniversary

Who proposed to who?

I proposed to Zoe in April 2016, so just over a year before we got married.

Where did you get married?

Mykonos, at a beautiful sunset location that happened to also be an open air cocktail bar!

What was your inspiration to go dress-less?

To be honest, I only wear dresses when I have to, so really just for other people's weddings! I had never tried a jumpsuit before or thought about wearing one. Now I've discovered them it's my new thing to wear for weddings!

How did you feel in your outfit?

Fantastic, I loved it, I got so many compliments from everybody, they said it was really unique and totally suited me as a person which was what I wanted.

Best buy? (doesn't have to be your HoO outfit!)

Definitely was the outfit!

Biggest surprise?

The only thing that surprised me was how relaxed I was at the ceremony, having thought I would be a total wreck! I enjoyed every minute, probably helped along by a glass or two of champagne just beforehand!

Did anything not go to plan?!

A few things like running out of ice during our sunday boat party when the temperature was 40 degrees and we had a delay at our reception venue and with transport to it which meant our reception dinner was very rushed in the end

Best moment?

During our ceremony we had a part where everyone came up and took part in a 'ring swap' so they took mine and zoe's rings off and swopped them over and put them on the other one of us, and back and forth, until everyone had done it. So everyone blessed our rings and really felt part of the ceremony, it was really lovely.

What did you family and friends think about your outfit?

They loved it, honestly, see previous comments :)

Will you wear it again?

I doubt it, but you never know! Purely because I can't think of an occassion where I would as it's definitely a bridal outfit, especially with my amazing cape section that I loved.

Testimonial

Hannah is one of the loveliest people I've ever met, she made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process and I am so pleased we found her and HoO. Really lovely experience and I found something totally unique that suited me, which is all I could ask for!
