Brides Of Ollichon

Charlotte

image-1.jpgimage-1-3-crop.jpg
We love Charlotte's story! Dave and Charlotte were first married in 1979 but divorced after 11 years of marriage, after having 2 beautiful girls.  They celebrated their second wedding some 37 years after the first. The couple tied the knot in July at Manorbier Castle in Manorbier, Pembrokeshire. “The reception was not a traditional affair, we hired a restaurant for the evening called 32, The Townhouse and they prepared dinner for our 40 guests.

'I could not have wished for a better experience. My beautiful Clement arrived and it was everything that I had dreamed of.  It fitted like a glove and is very flattering.  My two girls adored it!  Everyone was so complimentary; I felt like a million dollars. All of this wonderful experience, I owe to Hannah. I was so proud to be a Bride of Ollichon.  She could not have been more lovely or more accommodating.  This really is a truly excellent service that I would recommend to anyone. House of Ollichon has successfully carved out a significant niche in the extremely competitive wedding market place simply because it offers a distinctive and modern perspective that is appropriate for anyone who has an eye for quality and who dares to be different!!'

Jess

Jess and Jon got married on the 6th August 2016, and had an on-trend day out in London at Islington Town Hall, the Brawn restaurant and The Wenlock Arms Pub!

'It was so much fun right from the start. I knew I was in the right place. Hannah was so welcoming to me and my mum and sisters - we had a right laugh just the five of us hanging out. The room was done up beautifully with all the pieces on show and it was so relaxing. This was the only place I went to try on anything. I'd heard absolute horror stories from my mates about going to boutiques and being upsold, only being allowed one person, having to pay money to go (!!), no photos - all this sounded like a really, really bad day to me.'

Ellie

image-1.jpgimage-1-3-crop.jpg
Ellie and Pete married on 30th July 2016, at Henley Town Hall and Harpsden Village Hall. Ellie came to Hannah with her dream of a bespoke piece and the end result was so fabulous it now exists in the collection, aptly named The Stevenson after Ellie's maiden name.

'Every part of working with the Hannah and the House of Ollichon team has been an absolute joy. Hannah is a very talented lady, and an inspirational small business founder! House of Ollichon helped me to find my perfect bespoke style. They worked quickly and tirelessly to create my dream bridal outfit. I just wish I could do it all again.'

Hayley

Hayley and Chris’s big day was the 16th July and on asking Hayley why she chose our Le Fay combo, she tells us “I'm Scottish so having a ceilidh is standard, I needed a dress that I could properly dance in! Our band was License to Ceilidh and they were fantastic!

'I had a lovely experience with HoO, really friendly, accommodating and quick to respond. I love your other pieces as well and will definitely recommend you. The presentation was also really special and felt personal.'

Sarah

Jack proposed to Sarah in Berlin and their wedding followed on 14th May 2016. The ceremony was at The Shepherds Cottage in Suffolk and the reception was in a field at Sarah’s parents farm nearby. “Jack totally approved of the non-traditional two piece - he knew I wanted to wear white, but didn't want a giant bridezilla-style dress! We thought the skirt would go best with my trainers!”

'House of Ollichon was by far the best experience I had while dress shopping- mainly because I loved everything I was trying on! But also because Hannah and the team were so great with their communication and advice. I liked the set up; there weren’t rows and rows of massive white dresses, just a simple selection of gorgeous outfits! The quality of the two piece is fantastic, I am so thrilled to have come across House of Ollichon.'

Laura

Laura wed in July at York House in Twickenham to her lovely now-hubs Neil. Laura opted for an outfit change to ensure she could dance like crazy so at party time she switched her Jovani gown for the Siddell jumpsuit.

“I love what HoO stands for. The designs are original, beautifully made and very appealing to people who don’t want, and wouldn’t suit, a traditional wedding dress. It’s a formula that really works and long may it continue!”

Nicola

Jonny & Nicola are a true example of childhood sweethearts! Together since 2005 when they were just 15 years old. Jonny proposed back in 2010 on Christmas day and since then they’ve been pretty busy moving into a new home and had their daughter Imogen. They had a lovely small intimate ceremony and reception last month in the evening at Holiday Hydros Hotel on the beautiful terrace overlooking the beach.

“My experience with HoO was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Hannah really made me feel special and like I mattered. I was not expecting her to personally email me back when I queried if the wedding top could possibly be made faster than the usual 12 week time scale. But she did and she was lovely and put my mind as rest. The top was with me, beautifully wrapped, within plenty of time. And it's nice that since then, we have still been emailing each other and I felt totally comfortable to send some wedding photos over when we got back. I would 100% recommend HoO to any bride. There's nowhere like it!”

Imogen’s bridesmaids

image-1.jpgimage-1-3-crop.jpg
Bill proposed on Imogen’s birthday in December last year on a business trip to New York. They were in an amazing restaurant called Bouley in Midtown. Totally out of the blue he placed a little blue Tiffany box on the table…

“From the moment that I contacted Hannah and asked her if she could make my bridesmaids outfits to the moment she delivered them it was more than a pleasure to deal with her. From the design concept through to the fitting, all four girls and I enjoyed the whole process and we all have a little bit of a girl crush on her! She is so thoughtful, so professional and so warm – and her designs are simply beautiful.”

Sophie

Sophie’s husband Craig proposed to Sophie on Christmas Eve at her parents’ house and they were married at Southwark registry office in April. The ‘real celebration’ wedding date was 28th May and the venue was their own garden in Camberwell Grove with a small group of close friends.

'A good friend of mine emailed over the HoO website link and I couldn't believe that there was an alternative. I am a big fan of the jumpsuit anyway and when I tried the Bouilly on it was perfect.'

Roshni

image-1.jpgimage-1-3-crop.jpg
The couple were lucky enough to have two weddings! An Indian wedding in Australia in January & a London Registry/Chinese Tea ceremony in March at the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane. Roshni chose Le Fay for the registry office, a Sari for the indian wedding, another Indian outfit for the reception in Australia and a Cheong Sum for the Chinese tea ceremony.

'Hannah was really helpful from the start – I had emailed with some questions about the pieces, the colourings etc, before I placed the order and it was so assuring to have her respond before I actually bought the pieces'

Lauren

lauren-2.jpglauren-1.jpgLauren and her lovely husband married in Upstate New York on Valentines day 2016. They wanted a casual feel to their special day so had an intimate service with 16 of their nearest and dearest.

‘HoO made me feel very special. I couldn't have asked for a better outfit or a better designer to work with. Simply the best'

Angela

angela-2.jpgangela-1.jpg
Angela and Jeff knew they wanted a wedding that was more fun than formal. Angela says “While I could've opted for a cocktail dress as an alternative, I loved the unique elegance of a jumpsuit.

“My experience with HoO was unbelievable. Hannah was beyond accommodating and very sweet from her first reply. My experience with her was a large part of the reason that I wanted the Clement. I felt like family.”

Bella

image-1.jpgimage-1-3-crop.jpg
Bella's dream of becoming a mermaid-bride came true! We designed a skirt which was surfer chic by day and secretly embedded with fairy lights for the evening. Her first wedding to the lovely (and skirt loving) John was in Vegas where she literally switched herself on for party time! The best bit is that she gets to do it all over again at a fun filled glow in the dark party in Devon in July.

'Working with Hannah on my bespoke wedding skirt was amazing. From beginning to end she was fun, creative, patient and ultimately, made my wildest dreams come true! I loved it, my husband loved it and I can't picture anything that I would rather have worn on the best day of my life.'
